Took my vehicle to Wray, they had it for three weeks only to say, we don’t know. Found Barksdale Custom and these guys were very helpful. Of note, the mechanic sat in the showroom floor to discuss the issue, ways to address, and even a few upgrade options. They completed the work exactly when they said it would be done. A great mechanic is hard to find. One that is trustworthy and dependable seems to be even more rare. I would go here again and again.

What an absolutely stellar place to purchase wheels and tires. Mike was attentive to the desires I had in wheel choices, he spent quite a bit of time searching the old interwebs to find just what I wanted. The price was fair, the wait time was minimal and the staff was pleasant to chat with while I waited. Ten out of ten recommend. Very high likelihood that I'll do business with them again. I bought used tires from them, and yes i understand they’re used. But one of the tires had a broken belt that was brought to my attention when I went to mount the tires at another shop 30 mins later. So I went back and tried to find a solution and they wouldn’t refund anything not even a little. Pretty much “they’re used, good luck”. I own a tire buisness as well and I would’ve fixed the issue, i have in the past. Now I’m stuck w 3 decent tires and 1 I can’t mount or it’ll blow out. Literally even $100 back would’ve prevented this review. Other than that, they seemed nice and the shop itself is clean and well put together I’ll just never buy from them again.
UPDATE: all 4 tires had bubbles or broken belts in them. Once mounted the other 3 showers broke belts in the tread. This shop removed these off a truck and KNOWINGLY sold them to me messed up.

$280 for a tire alignment with 10% off, supposedly. if that doesn’t sum it up, I don’t know what will.. The girl at the front desk has a terrible attitude, any questions you have for her, be prepared to get told “I don’t know buddy” or when I asked why was the alignment so high I got the response “it’s because you’re paying with card buddy, it would have been $270 with cash” like that makes a difference…. The day prior i spent a pretty penny on a level kit, oil change and balance with another gentlemen working the counter and it was a great experience, I will add. I’d be lying if I said anything other than it went from a place I bragged about to my friends and family to instantly looking for another location to service my vehicle.

Barksdale Custom is amazing, they got my truck looked at soon as I made it in; eliminated all the things I thought was wrong with it then gave me recommendations on what I really needed to get done.
It was wrapped up in a timely manner and the prices weren’t crazy expensive.
I highly recommend trying them out, I won’t be going to another shop as long as I’m in or around the Shreveport - Bossier area.

Not professional at all. They reject your calls because they dont want to keep you informed on the status of your vehicle. The woman who answers the phone acts like your such a bother. The owner makes up nonsense when you are checking on the status of your vehicle. Thankfully my warranty company is vocal and assured me that they were waiting for this shop to contact them with a vin number on a part. The owner claimed i was extremelly rude when i confronted him about a used part i know i was approved for. He was trying to make me pay for a new part which wouldn't be a problem, but he knew i was there for a used part. He told me to come pick up my vehicle because he was caught in a lie and didnt know how to apologize and act like an accountable human.

I came into Barksdale Customs Auto Service in full distress, thinking I needed a water pump repair that I was expecting to cost around $1,000. Mike and his team took the time to do a thorough inspection, and instead of just replacing parts I didn’t need, they were honest and found that the issue was actually something else.
Not only did they fix the real problem, but what could’ve been a $1,000 job turned into $400 and I was more than proud to pay it.

Edit on February 23, 2026. This place is not what I expected. They’ do try to tell you what you want to hear over the phone but in person, it’s a different story.The people working here seem bipolar. I had been trying to come back after a few other services that I needed to get done but they blew me off as is I wasn’t even there. It was about the disinfectant process back in September that I had come in and they had other people who were here. Yet these folks never came to me with a “someone will be with you shortly.” No instead, I sat there for 45 mins waiting only to know you had wasted your time. I wanted to come back to give them a 3rd chance. So my vehicle reached its 90k miles and instead of going to the dealership I called these people. Guy over the phone says, sure bring it in we’ll give you a checkup on your vehicle and if we don’t do any work on it, “it wouldn’t cost you anything”. Who wouldn’t pass this up. Sounded too cool. But after I came and sat there in the dark because they are conserving in light, they charge me $80? Plus I had called earlier in the week about a tiny grill badge I had purchased online for $15. I still can’t believe $80 for a $15 emblem. The guy working the front desk is BIPOLAR. PLEASE NOTE: the review below was my first visit but this here is my 2nd and 3rd.

They are 100% top of the line welcoming and their service is outstanding.!! Bravo 👏. Superior service ❤️❤️. I have been calling around town to get some new mods added to my rig. Everyone else wants to charge you nearly the same amount of what product costs you want installed on your vehicle. Immediately as soon as I put my vehicle on park in the parking lot, first time coming here, I was welcomed and all of my questions were answered. I wanted to add raptor lights on my rig and as soon as I got them shipped I had them install them for me. I also had issues with my headlights the night before. They replaced the bulbs for my headlights at no extra charge. ❤️ How awesome is that? Mike and his crew are knowledgeable and professional at what they do. You’re wasting your time and money going elsewhere. Mark my words. Plus Im a very difficult person to please. Thank yall so much. Y’all got a another loyal customer !!! 🥳👍🤗

Great company to do business with, we have multiple vehicles that my husband and I have taken there. They are friendly, fast where possible, and we have received a great quality product. My husband purchased 4 brand new tires in late February of this year. We had had an issue with a valve steam while traveling the issue was not related to their work but they even tried to help us even though we were miles away in Nashville, TN. We have purchased tires for my car, my daughter has for her car along with some other work to be done to her car.
Keep in mind the pictures of the tires I’m adding is after over 2000 miles traveled all over the Eastern Part of the US (Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee x2, Kentucky, multiple locations, Indiana, Georgia, the Carolina’s, all over the state of Florida and so on while pulling a 42 foot 5th about 20,000lbs that’s also carrying a 900lb. Harley Davidson so closer to 21,000lbs. Total. These tires are almost 6 months old and have really seen some miles but still look new with barely any tread used.

I’ve got an Audi s5 and been to Eurotek, foreign and classics and dealership, these guys at barksdale customs were the only one that took the time and opened up my engine and did a thorough inspection to identify my problem. Everyone one else suggested to replace my engine without ever opening it up. I was looking at 19k-25k not including all the diagnostics charges and misdiagnosis to only 2500. Cody is knowledgeable and took the time to show me and explain everything to me. I highly recommend these guys before going anywhere else.

Was recommended to come here for a quality tire at a great price and this place didn’t disappoint!! Would recommend for replacing tires and I even saw some neat rims inside for those who do come for customs. Thanks again to the guys here!

So my son ordered tires and rims no complaints on that. The box of lugs they gave us only has 17 lugs and a key. I called to get 3 more lugs and Barksdale Customs can send us a set of 20 for $50 which is what my son paid for the first set. Get this they order them in a box of 1,000 Barksdale Custom can give us 3 if we are in town which we live 2 hrs away but can't ship 3 cause they only come in sets of 20. Make that make sense. Poor customer service in my book.
